VE Day Event Tomorrow

VE Day Mini Street Party – Tomorrow!
We're excited to confirm that the wonderfully talented Kelly Bayfield will be performing her Vocally Vintage set live at our VE Day event tomorrow.Live music kicks off at 4.45pm with a special performance by children from Sir Robert Hitcham's Primary School.
Kelly will then be singing at intervals until around 7pm, weather and crowd permitting.There will be special free VE Day display from 1pm- 6pm in The Stables Function Room to the rear of The Crown Hotel- please do go along and have a look, and an accompanying military vehicle or two on the Market Hill. Free Children's Activities at the Event! We've got a line-up of free fun for children, including:A VE Day quiz with free chocolate for everyone who completes it & a chance to win extra sweet treats Unicorn and plane glidersPavement chalk artTemporary tattoos Biscuit decoratingA big thanks to the Co-Op for kindly donating everything we need for the biscuit decorating station.These will be based outside Two Magpies from 4pm-6pm.At 7.15pm, the church bells will ring out in honour of the 80th anniversary of VE Day.Please note: there are no road closures, so we would ask motorists to drive slowly and with extra care across the Market Hill.
If you're attending the event, please stay on the pavements and be mindful of traffic. We'll have a PA system, so you should be able to enjoy the music from any safe spot around the Hill.
